DWELL: 731 SAINT NICHOLAS AVENUE TOWNHOUSE

Harlem Bespoke: One of the more notable townhouses on Sugar Hill has arrived on the market for the first time in recent memory last summer.  Number 731 St. Nicholas Avenue located just north of 146th Street is one of the buildings in a twin townhouse development built back in 1886 when much of the surrounding land was still rural and now has an initial asking of $3.7 million.  This might have been a grand single family home back in the 19th century but has since been gut-renovated and chopped up into 9 apartments. Those steep front stair from the original facade are no longer present but the entire width of the building is still an impressive 25 foot width. Express train entrances are also just a block away and there are quite a few commercial offerings nearby on 145th Street. More photos and details can be found on the broker site: LINK
