READ: REZONING AT LENOX TERRACE
Harlem Bespoke: Concerns of gentrification at Lenox Terrace has made the local news since the residents along with community leaders have opposed of the 5 new towers planned as an infill development within the open land around the blocks between 132nd and 135th on Lenox Avenue. There will be 1,600 new apartments in total and up to 500 affordable units as part of the mix so the city will probably approve of everything in the coming weeks because the Planning Commission has now given the green light. Since the building boom in the last 2 decades began, New York City has pretty much let the larger construction projects take off no matter how controversial and Lenox Terrace is all privately owned by the developer so it will even be harder to block the new designs planned for the notable address: LINK
