BESPOKE: THE URBAN GARDEN CENTER GREENHOUSE

Harlem Bespoke: Springtime is upon us and those with a green thumb might want to check out the verdant delights over at Urban Garden Center below the train underpass at Park Avenue by 116th Street.   Uptown's go-to garden resource has been around since 2011 and is actually the largest garden center in the city with over 20,000 square foot of space which includes a greenhouse that is a paradise to visit especially during the warmer season.  There is also a sister coffee shop called UGC Eats just a block away which makes for a totally unique experience for an everyday gardening trip.

We dropped by this afternoon and things were pretty quiet but the flora growing within the interior space definitely felt like visiting a small botanical garden. Urban Garden Center is a big part of everything green in the community and has helped out local businesses like Dear Mama in Manhattanville to plant a tree within a new cafe space.  Pots, tools, planters, soil mediums and anything else one might need for backyard or private terraces can be discovered at this east Harlem specialty shop.  More about Urban Garden Center on the official website: urbangardennyc.com
