INTRODUCING: DEAR MAMA OPEN ON WEEKENDS
Harlem Bespoke: Dear Mama was our pick for best uptown coffee shop back in 2016 when the original debuted in East Harlem and now a second location has become popular on west side but has been mostly shuttered on the weekends. That has since changed in the past month since the school year started in Manhattanville and the location at 611 West 129th Street just east of Broadway will be open for the entire week now.
We especially like this locations because it happens to be the largest coffee shop in greater Harlem and all of the interior is pretty much set like a greenhouse because of all of the light shining through the glass. A tree is actually growing from the ground at the front bar thanks to the help of the Urban Garden Center in East Harlem and there are also quite a few other plants in potted positions within the space. There are also art galleries nearby and those walking to Fairway or Dinosaur BBQ can stop in for a quick break before trekking further west. More on Dear Mama can be found in our past post: LINK
