FILM: MADE IN HARLEM AT MAYSLES CINEMA

Wednesday, June 10th,  7:30PM-9:30PM, Made in Harlem: Zora Neal Hurston's Fieldwork Footage at Maysles Cinema, 343 Lenox Avenue and 127th Street.  While a student of anthropologist Franz Boas at Columbia University, Zora Neale Hurston embarked on a journey through Alabama and Florida, using a 16 mm camera to capture life among the rural African American communities she found there.
