INTRODUCING: FIRST LOOK AT ALISON ON LEXINGTON

Harlem Bespoke: A new coffee-to-wine bar spot called Alison quietly opened on the corner of 104th Street and Lexington about 5 months ago and we were able to drop by over the weekend. Those out there who have been reading the blog for the past decade will remember that this was the location of East Harlem Cafe which closed back in 2016 but was replaced by a commercial spot called Bean Y Vino at some point in time.  Alison reminds us a bit of Lucille's up on 150th Street since the decor at the 50-seater is basically that of a charming boutique restaurant that goes from coffeeshop to to local dinner spot at night.

Beautiful old world tiles, painted white brick walls, lots of warm wood, pendant milk glass light, framed artwork and just the right touch of house plants all add up to an eatery that one really wants to hang out at.  Prices are around the $15 range for brunch items and everything on the menu is really approachable and the service is on point. We have not been over yet for the evening menu and apparently everything comes off more as fine dining experience but within a reasonable price point.  Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks on Alison.  Check out our past post for more on East Harlem Cafe: LINK
