DWELL: VIRTUAL HOUSE TOURS HAVE NOW ARRIVED
Harlem Bespoke: Social distancing has created a new world where everything will become more digital in the immediate future and real estate now appears to have embraced in the big changes at hand. We noticed on Streeteasy that a virtual tour was available for listings and was curious to see how many were currently available. Surprisingly nothing came up in Manhattan and only one house in Brookyn's Kensington neighborhood was available for this feature. The newish listing from end of last year was pulled in mid March but just went live again in early April from Compass.
So what is exactly the 3D option that will be more available to buyers? Basically the townhouse for sale has each room photographed in a full 360 degrees panorama shot and any one interested in a particular space can turn around any direction within the interior images provided. There are even arrows that pop up towards an entrance and the viewer moves forward into the other room with a simple click. It is kind of like Google Maps street view option but moving everything inside. Pretty cool especially if one has a big screen to view everything from at home. Video options are also inclusive but these always feel more like a montage of edited photos set to music and fall a little flat in our opinion.
