ART: THE DUKE ELLINGTON STATUE AT 110TH STREET
Harlem Bespoke: Many might have walked by the Duke Ellington statue at the corner of 110th Street and Fifth Avenue in the past but might have not noted a certain artistic detail to the sculpture by Central park. We took a stroll by the intersection this past weekend and reviewed to the pictures which surprising revealed a corduroy texture on the arm and pants of the of the Harlem icon's suit. This is only on the creases and so is a sort of creative flourish to feature the shadowing on the one side of the figure and makes the notable piece of public art even more fascinating.
