Harlem Bespoke: The Park Avenue corridor on the east side by the elevated Metro North tracks is one of the other locations uptown that is starting to see a development activity pickup. This section of East Harlem has a lot of public housing on the surrounding blocks which deterred new construction activity in the past but it appears that this no longer a negative factor these days. We walked by the corner of 110th Street and Park over the past months and saw that a rendering of a new building had been posted on the plywood fence around a lot that had been empty for the past decade. Permits state that this is 94 East 111th Street even though the location is a block south and 12 stories will rise eventually for a mixed-use building. A finish date has been set for October 2020 but everything will probably be delayed a year or so.
