QUESTION: WHAT IS UP WITH THE CLIFFS?

Harlem Bespoke:  We walked by the former historic Pabst Beer garden building on 124th Street just west of 7th Avenue yesterday and wondered what was going on with the rock climbing business called The Cliffs that had been planned a couple of years ago.  We found the instagram account which shows the dramatic climbing walls under the top dome fully installed back in March of last year but no updates has been made since then October.  The pandemic then hit the city by early spring so this might just be one of the new businesses that faltered before even starting up.  With that said, Steep Rock Bouldering opened back in 2017 just a bit further west on Broadway so there are options in the neighborhood when things get back to normal later on in the summer.  More on The Cliffs at Harlem can be found in our past post: LINK
