SHOP: THE LAST DAYS OF HARLEM FAIRWAY
Harlem Bespoke: One of the most iconic uptown retails spots is officially closing this month! We dropped by yesterday and saw that closing signs were up all over the place at Fairway on 12th Avenue and got really kind of sad. The local New York City supermarket has been around since 1995 and was one of the first big retailer to take a chance on uptown. Some say Whole Foods opening on Lenox caused some competition but we think that there are more diverse offerings and better prices at Fairway.
With that said, workers mentioned to us that the entire closing process will last about 2 weeks and now everything is starting to be on sale. As can be seen in the last photo, only 5 percent discounts are currently available for the most part but that savings number will probably increase as the days progress. Since the sales are going on now, the midday crowds have now returned so make sure to drop by before everything is gone. More on Fairway can be found in our past post: LINK
