UNVEILING: HARLEM BLACK LIVES MATTER MURAL

Wednesday, July 8th, at 10:00AM official Unveiling of the Black Lives Matter mural in Harlem on Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard and 125th Street.  Local artists have been working for several days over the past weekend to customize each letter of the Black Lives Matter mural on 7th Avenue and the official unveiling will be tomorrow morning.  Some drama actually happened during the whole process when a radical bicycling group consisting of 4,000 riders tried to ruin the artwork as it was being painted since they thought everything was city funded and that sentiment is actually entirely incorrect.  Uptown's iconic mural has soley been supported by nonprofit organizations and is fully a community-based project.  Those who want to see the final results of all the hard work and hear the artist speak should drop by early in the morning at the special event.
