Harlem Bespoke: As previously mentioned in several post, construction at 145 West 129th Street halted about a decade ago but now things appear to be finishing up. The brownstone located just east of 7th Avenue had 2 floors added on top back in 2008 but things did not move along further until recently.
We walked by he 4-family home this past week and saw that all facade work has been completed and the eye sore on the block is now one of the most pristine buildings in Central Harlem. Architectural details around the window and the top of the building really connect with the new addition to the historic base and more developer should take note for similar future renovations in the neighborhood. On a side note, the original cornice design is missing at top but the alternative still looks quite handsome at the end of the day.
