TAKEOUT: TANDOORI WINGS AT MUMBAI MASALA

Harlem Bespoke: Mumbai Masaa is our favorite Indian spot on the west side of Manhattan and we recently picked up some amazing takeout for lunch.  The eatery in Hamilton Heights on Amsterdam just north of 147th Street has been busy with evening delivery orders but the lunch box to go is the most pocket friendly option these days.  We got a delicious lamb curry for $8.95 which came in a cool aluminum food tray and a huge portion of naan bread was also included.  

As an extra side for the meal deal, the smokey chicken wing appetizer for $7.95 is a revelation.  There are six pieces in all which are prepared tandoori style and grilled with a perfect char.  Everything is marinated in yogurt beforehand so the the wings are super tender inside while nicely spicy outside.  We would go back just for the wings but the menu has a lot offerings to discover on future visits.  If there is one new dish to try out this fall, these tandoori wings should be high on the list.
