CLOSINGS: INOUE SHUTTERS ON LENOX
Harlem Bespoke: Uptown's fine dining scene has taken a major hit this year with the permanent closing of Inoue on Lenox at the corner of 129th Street. A Bespoke tip came in last month mentioning that there are signs posted at 381 Lenox Avenue that have all of the south end retail spaces up for lease and we went over to take a look this week.Sadly enough, it appears that one of Harlem's most acclaimed restaurants has indeed closed for good. Inoue opened up back in 2015 with a notable sushi master heading up the omakase menu which has since garnered multiple Michelin Guide yearly awards. With that said, now is really the time for any new restaurants to secure leases since rents rates are quite negotiable these days and 2021 is just around the corner. One last point to note is that the more affordable Yuzu sushi is just a block away from this location and has been open for business for the past few months. More on Inoue in our past post: LINK
