DEMOLITION: THE EAST HARLEM PATHMARK ON 125TH

Harlem Bespoke: We saw the plywood go up at the former East 125th Street Pathmark at Lexington Avenue in October and it appear that demolition day has finally arrived.  Everything sold back in 2014 and the site has really been in miserable condition since then so this moment has been long-awaited.
With that said, the sidewalk shed and building netting are now all in place and part of the back end at the 124th Street side has gone down already.  Demolition on the roof appears to be the main goal for the month and expect everything to be complete by February if all goes to plan.  Check out our past post for the final rendition of the mix-use new construction planned for the site: LINK
