Harlem Bespoke: New York City gyms reopened about six months ago with limited capacity and this is probably one of the better examples of regulated social distancing we have seen during the pandemic. The Blink on 125th Street takes hourly reservations via an app for each day to prevent overcrowding and every guest is measured for temperature upon answering a few health history question. Everyone at all times must wear a mask and the staff goes around reminding people to do so if there is a mishap.
People are also advised to work out at a distance and there are disinfectant wet towelette dispensers everywhere to cleanup each workout site. We have been going for six months now and everything has been running smoothly so there is a way to be safer in pubic based on this anecdotal example. Gym appointments have also been maxed out for each day since the new year started so reserving 24 hours in advance is highly suggested.
