READ: MASSIMO BOTTURA'S HARLEM SOUP KITCHEN
Harlem Bespoke: A celebrity chef is opening a soup kitchen to the public at a local church this fall and the focus will not only be serving the community but also job training and preventing food waste. Massimo Bottura is a famous Michelin Star chef with a notable restaurant in Italy but has been giving back by opening Refetorrio sites which sources viable food that would be thrown out from the industry and thus preventing a lot of waste. Emanuel AME Church at 37 West 119th Street by Mount Morris Park West is the Harlem location opening to the public this fall and the site will be serving or delivering hundreds of meals each week.
