Harlem Bespoke: Spring weather has arrived early this week and everyone in the neighborhood appears to be getting use to things changing up a bit in the new year. Uptowners had lightweight jackets on earlier in the day but it was eventually t-shirt weather by the time late afternoon rolled around and the streets were much busier with foot traffic. Many restaurants have also reopened in the past month so seeing tables filled during lunchtime was also a welcoming sight. When the pandemic hit this time last year, a lot of folks left town or just stayed inside for literally weeks and life in the city became just a trickle.
Now things are a completely different with COVID infections going down and the vaccine currently being available to a good part of the general population. Also everyone knows now to mask up and practice social distancing which was also something that was missing earlier on in 2020 and caused a lot of trepidation about being out in general. We definitely approved of this spring fever that is hitting streets these days but would also advise folks that it is not over yet so still be cautious while heading out to enjoy the weather.
