RENT: BROWNSTONE TWO BEDROOM ON CONVENT
Harlem Bespoke: So the average in Manhattan rent for a non-doorman studio went up a couple of hundred this past summer to a whopping $2,256 a month but those living uptown can save thousands each year since deals can still be found. In the past 24 hours, a prewar brownstone two-bedroom at 294 Convent Avenue by 142nd Street has been listed for $1,900 a month. This no-fee rental notably has some of the most charming views to be found uptown but the interior does not have a lot of original details. Restaurants, cafes and the main commercial corridor are all close by on 145th Street and the express trains are all in the mix. With that said, this prewar apartment is probably a walk-up situation so might not be for everyone. More details and contact information on Streeteasy: LINK
