SHOP: DEALS AT ALDI IN EAST HARLEM
Harlem Bespoke: Those waiting for Lidl on Frederick Douglass by 118th Street to open up can actually get a similar fix at Aldi next door to Target at the East River Plaza at East 117th Street and Pleasant Avenue. Cycle, walk or even drive a car over since its basically in a big mall but the deals are definitely worth it. Aldi and Lidl are similar since the shelves are stocked up with various brands old and new that are bought in bulk for fantastically reduced prices. Big bottles of hand sanitizer for 50 cents, wild caught salmon for $4.69 a pound, uncured angus beef hotdogs for $3.55 a half dozen and more.
Like Trader Joe's, there are a lot of uncured meats to choose from and high quality cuts at unbeatable prices in the frozen or fresh aisles. Artisan type of chips are less than $2.00 for a big bag and millenial shoppers can also discover some of the more hip foodstuff like kombucha drinks for under $3.00 a bottle. With all that said, everything is supposed to be up and running by end of September at the Harlem Lidle so those in Central Harlem or West Harlem might have a discount supermarket to shop at sooner than later: LINK

Aldi is great! You can't get everything from there but like you said in this post, both Trader Joes and Aldi have good deals and similar products alike. Great post for Harlem Peeps!
