Harlem Bespoke: We have not really had good look at the old St. Lukes Hospital rental conversion that finished up in the past year and took some photos this week. This was originally the crown on top of Morningside Park at 113th Street but more modern facilities had been built in more recent decades on the adjacent lots facing the Amsterdam Avenue side. The one big change that we noticed were on the balconies facing Morningside Drive which now are completely open with unobstructed vistas. Patients would originally sit out here for a breath of fresh air and the entire section was boxed in with a gated cage-like metal screen for safety. Now everything just looks like a prewar apartment building in Paris so expect to pay a competitive market rate for these kind of views. More on Old St. Lukes in our past post: LINK
