EAT: SPICY MEXICAN BIRRIA RAMEN AT OLLIN
Harlem Bespoke: The only place uptown to get true birria stew made traditionally with goat meat is at Ollin on East 108th Street by First Avenue and the tiny restaurant also serves up the beloved dish with ramen. The menu usually has the expected taco offerings but those in the know can ask for the specialty served with ramen noodles at the modest mom and pop shop. All the fresh ingredients such as sliced avocado, radishes, red onion along with cilantro are added on top and curly ramen noodles are abundant as diners dig in. It's an $18 bowl of ramen which is on the pricy side but the authentic recipe makes it worth while just to check out. More on Ollin tacos in El Barrio can be found in our past post: LINK
