HOW MUCH FOR A HARLEM BROWNSTONE LOT?
Harlem Bespoke: We walked by 137 West 131st Street again this week and noticed that the brownstone lot now has an abundance of greenery going on these days. The 16-foot wide parcel was originally sold back in 1996 for $9,000 and the former owner held on to the land to try to sell it for $1.55 million just three years ago. So how much was the final closing price?
Records now show that everything closed for $875K a year later in 2019 and that sound like a pretty solid price for the land that has been sitting around for decades. The whole point here is to rebuild what was lost and hopefully plans for a new brownstone will arrive in the near future. Another point to note is this location is also within the new Central Harlem Historic District so anything new will have to match the existing architecture: LINK
