EAT: BEYOND CHICKEN ARRIVES AT KFC THIS WEEK

Harlem Bespoke: We read that KFC tested out Beyond Meat chicken nuggets in Atlanta a couple of years ago and that everything sold out within 5 hours time because of all of the buzz.  So when we heard that there would be a big nation wide launch on January 10th this year, we marked our calendars to make sure to try everything out first thing.  So how was it?

The most fascinating point about the nuggets are that the chicken texture is pretty close to the real thing which is kind of an important detail.  The taste is also 100 percent better than any other plant-based chicken nugget out there and everything is coated with classic KFC spices which is a big plus.  All the ads we have seen so far have round nuggets but these were evidently square so that was a little odd.  Other than that, we really recommend this offering as a meat alternative since they actually taste pretty good.  Six piece or 12 pieces are now available with a choice of sauces.  Signage was was not up for the special at the storefront today but KFC definitely has the nuggets for a limited time.
