Harlem Bespoke: There was an announcement on social media that Vegan Hood on Frederick Douglass Boulevard by 114th Street will be opening officially on Saturday, April 16th. This is the former Harlem Food Bar space that shuttered last year but a new black owned vegan soul food eatery has secured the lease. Posters currently in the window also mention that pretty much all restaurant positions are available so anyone looking should contact Vegan Hood through the email address provided. Vegan restaurants have become a big trend in New York City and this uptown newcomer will be one of four plant-based culinary spots to go to in Harlem by the time summer rolls around.
