GREEN HARLEM: LENOX AVENUE IN BLOOM

Harlem Bespoke:  April showers might not make for an exciting start of the week but at least the local flowers are starting to bloom abundantly. We received a message in our inbox that the tulips planted on the Lenox Avenue median in the West 130s are now coming up so went over to take a few photos. Aubrey Jackson who cultivates the magical community garden on West 132nd Street headed up the beautification of the local public space with the help of neighborly volunteers and this part of Lenox is now ready for those closeup photos.  So enjoy the seasonal flowers when crossing the boulevards but also remember it takes a small army of helpers to really make uptown gardens bloom.  Check our past post on the fabulous West 132nd Street garden: LINK
