HOW MUCH FOR A HARLEM BROWNSTONE AT AUCTION?

Harlem Bespoke:  What does a Harlem brownstone in a prime historic district go for at auction most recently?  They do not come up often but 239 Lenox Avenue at the corner of West 122nd  Street in the Mount Morris Park Historic District was up on the block back in 2019 when starting bids were set at $100K in the neighborhood.  With that said, everything in Harlem eventually sells in the millions to the highest bidder so the closing price ended up a lot higher than some may have expected.

Looking up the information on Streeteasy, the final recorded number for the corner building was set at $2.802 million and this is always usually in an all cash transaction.  These auctions might look interesting to a lot of first time homebuyers but seasoned investors or developers with deep pockets usually come in with the highest bids.
