Harlem Bespoke: The hidden cherry blossom park in front of Grant's Tomb appears to not be such a big secret anymore these days but the poor public lawn has suffered for it. We noticed that a lot of new younger locals were using the pristine park as a dog run earlier in the month and that all of the grass had been torn up from the green space on Riverside by 122nd Street. Wood gates have now sectioned off the entire lawn area of the park so that grass can grow in the future and hopefully more of the new neighbors will be slightly more considerate from now on. With that said, it is fortunate that the parks department acted quickly and sectioned off the park to help with the seasonal restoration. Visitors can still walk along the perimeter path but the center grassy patch is now off limits. Check out our past post to see what the park would look like if it was fully opened to the public: LINK

PRETTY PLEASE LET THE GRASS GROW AT SAKURA PARK
