Harlem Bespoke: A new gallery has arrived by Strivers Row at a corner building on Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 139th Street that coincidentally used to be home to another gallery for a couple of years. Some might remember the Tatiana Page Gallery that opened back in 2014 but then was replaced by a beauty retailer in 2016 which shuttered during the pandemic. Currently signs are up for an artist fellowship and the lettering on the door indicates that this is an AHL Foundation location. The original office for the arts organization started in 2003 was in Chelsea for over a decade and now the Korean American non-profit has made the move uptown. Asian American artists have only started to get any visibility in the public eye and AHL will be supporting emerging talent and featuring shows in the neighborhood. A recent exhibit just finished up but we will be on the look out for any future shows. More details on the official AHL site: LINK
UPDATE: a new exhibit will open Saturday, May 28th, from 3:00PM-6:00PM, invitation via Eventbrite: LINK
