SUITE HARLEM OCTET AT HARLEM SCHOOL OF THE ARTS

Harlem Bespoke: Another free event to check out over the weekend is the world premiere of Suite Harlem, an original composition for octet, written and dedicated to the Harlem School of the Arts by pianist, composer, and Jazz Road Creative Residency Recipient Adegoke Steve Colson.

Saturday, June 11th, 7:30PM-9:00PM, Suite Harlem at the Harlem School of the Arts Theater, 645 St. Nicholas Avenue and 142nd Street. Grammy Nominee Adegoke Steve Colson will then be joined by acclaimed vocalist Iqua Colson; renowned drummer Peheeroan akLaff; violinist Marlene Rice, vibes by Bryan Carrott; bassist Luke Stewart; trumpeter Freddie Hendrix and J.D.
