Harlem Bespoke: Lenox Coffee at 60 West 129th Street shuttered this past week after 11 years in business and we realized that a history post on the original storefront has never been written. It took some searching on the city archive pages but the a photo of the corner building which houses the coffee shop has been revealed with the above view facing west towards Lenox Avenue. Zooming in to the commercial spaces by the entrance columns of the residential building shows that this was a grocery store at one point in time and had twice the square footage. The section of the store to the left now appears to be part of an apartment unit and this can be seen in the more current photos from our past post: LINK
