NJMH Juneteenth Black Music Festival is an outdoor music and dance celebration rooted in community, movement, and sounds from the Black Diaspora. Featured artists include vocalist Charenee Wade, poet, vocalist, musician and designer Tai Allen with his group Sample Sale, and freestyle dance and music group LayeRhythm.

Saturday, May 7th, Mother's Day Flower shop pop-up at Common Good coffee shop, Frederick Douglass Boulevard at the corner of West 149th. An alternative to get fresh flower for Mother Day this weekend can be found at the Common Good coffeeshop close to Jackie Robinson Park. The local java joint has had flowers from time to time since they opened back in 2018 and the displays have been quite dramatic. If you are in the area, stop by to get some brew and a bouquet to go. Saturday, November 20th, 10:00 AM–1:00PM, Walking Tour of Harlem Historic Parks, meet at the front of Jack Robinson Recreation Center, Bradhurst Avenue by 146th Street. A walking tour led by the Urban Park Rangers to learn about the history and cultures of Jackie Robinson Park, Colonel Charles Young Playground, and Holcombe Rucker Park and Playground. This event is FREE, but space is limited. Please wear a mask if you are unvaccinated or cannot maintain social distance. All individuals should maintain social distancing of six feet during programming, regardless of vaccination status. Wash your hands before attending a program. Stay home if you are sick.
