There appears to be one house that is in a total state of limbo at the Strivers Row street of West 138th and some might wonder what is going on with the landmark property. Looking back at old permits for No. 237 West 138th, one will find out that most of the renovations started back in 2007 but not much has happened since then. According to the paperwork on file, the historic townhouse was originally set up as a 3-family but the end goal was to convert it into a single-family home. Not much has happened to the building since it was gutted several years back and the fate of the house still remains a mystery.
Maybe somebody didn't have the money to make their dream come true. Once the economy soured, the dream got beyond them!
