DWELL: A RECORD BROWNSTONE SALE FOR 2014

The highest sale for a Harlem brownstone in 2014 so far actually has not topped the competition from last year.  Records show that number 227 Lenox Avenue sold for $3.35 million back in July and that's before the 26-foot wide building has even completed renovations.  We are not sure if this will go condo or rental but the DOB permits show that 4 units will be available along with ground floor commercial space when all finishes up.  This notable Mount Morris Park Historic neighborhood location is one of the best in Harlem but one local celebrity went just slightly further north last year to set the current top closing price at $3.6 million: LINK
