☞ SEE: An Idyll of the Deep South
One of Aaron Douglas' most famous murals, An Idyll of the Deep South, is on permanent display at Harlem's Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. The Art Deco influence with the Egyptian forms can be clearly seen in this work, along with the studied layering of colors. 515 Malcolm X Boulevard/6th Avenue at 136th Street. Tel. (212) 491-2200.
