☞ DWELL: 226 West 132nd Street Brownstone
The brownstone shell on 226 West 132nd Street (center building in photo) has seen better days but may be the right building for the right buyer if the price goes down enough to make the renovations possible. Currently asking at 849K, this seems to be on the higher end since the location is north of 125th Street and on a block that has potential but still has other brownstones that need the same amount of work to be complete. On the good side of things, the block is tree-lined, has really amazing diversity in 19th century architecture, and is really only a ten minute walk from the retail of 125th Street. Take the 2,3 or B,C train to 135th Street and head towards 132nd Street between 8th Avenue and 7th Avenue. See the other Dwell post to compare brownstones in the various neighborhoods: LINK
