☞ DWELL: 23 East 127th Street Brownstone

The Langston Hughes House's neighbor down the block on 23 East 127th Street is also selling at the same time. It's interesting to
see that they are going for similar asking price of $1.25 million even though one has a pedigree and the other just shares the same block. They both are habitable buildings that retain their original details and need bit of work. Our opinion would be that if one had the funds to buy either one, the more historic property would get the final sale. The Hughes' House also has brownstones on either side of the building versus an open lot that the neighbor down the street has on the side (above photo). This section of 127th Street is between 5th Avenue and Madison with the nearest trains the 2,3 line on 125th Street and 135th Street. Read more about the Langston Hughes House in our previous post.
