☞ SEE: Ragtime the Musical on Broadway
The revival of Ragtime is currently in previews on Broadway and we love the final poster art they selected for the show. Using the old Victorian typeface and characters, the graphic artist combined them with turn of the century imagery (clip art) but made things modern with a radiating pattern from the central figure of the Statue of Liberty and the main character from Harlem, Colehouse Walker. Read more about the book and the play in our past post: LINK. For more on the art of Ragtime, read more in the NY Times article: LINK.

It's great that Ragtime was revived, but it's a shame that it had such a short run. If it lasted long enough to come to Los Angeles, I would have really liked to have seen it.
