☞ EAT: New Restaurant in Morningside Heights
The narrow building at 2869 Broadway, between West 111th and 112th Street in Morningside Heights has been empty over a year now but signs of a new shop opening seems to be close at hand. Formerly a small hardware store at the lower floor with three additional floors of commercial space, the entire building has been gutted completely and has a new restored facade. We're guessing that this one will be a restaurant and looking from the detail work and aesthetics out front, it might be one of the better eateries to open in the Columbia University area. Restaurants such as Community Foods, that are better quality and less commercial, have been thriving on the strip so let's hope this new one is more of this ilk. Does anyone have the news on what this will be? The closest stop to this new spot is the 1 train at 110th Street. Photo by Ulysses
