☞ DWELL: 135 West 131st Street Brownstone
We noticed a Craig's List ad from one of the local brokers advertising a brownstone on 135 West 131st Street (building right of lot in photo). This block between Lenox Avenue and ACP/7th Avenue is one of those areas with good bones but need a bit of love. The building is in an SRO layout and the listing does not state that it is occupied. With that in mind, the 17 foot wide classic brownstone has all of its iron work and facade intact and there's a lot of original detail in the interior. The major issue here is that definitely is a fixer upper, the Certificate of Occupancy is unclear and there is a n open lot to the left of the property. Asking price? At a cool $575K, this building is one of the lower prices on the market in Central Harlem for a townhouse that is not a shell. Most of the street is tree lined and the house is five minute walk to the 2,3 express trains at 125th or 135th Street. See more in the Craig's List ad: LINK
