☞ PROTECT: Save P.S. 186 Petition Takes Off

The Save P.S. 186 petition was up for only 24 hours before it hit the 10% mark with slightly over 100 signatures in place. The final goal is 1,000 signatures or more before going out to elected officials. All Harlem and NYC residents who are concerned about saving the historic building that will be demolished (even though the original community agreement was to restore the building) should sign on and get the word out! Go directly to the site to sign up and read comments from the community: LINK

  1. Unfortunateley it is already too late to save this building. M. L. Wilson has seen to it's destruction, and for years now it has only served as a dangerous toxic waiste site.

The building needs to be take from W. L. Wilson, torn town, and replaced by a structure that can serve the neighborhood.

A petition to save the building is, unfortunately, misguided.

  2. John, you are entitled to your opinion and yours is truly subjective. Five other proposals were placed on the table that says this building can be restored. The community board is not representing the neighborhood properly so a petition is very appropriate.
