☞ WALK: Looking for Coyotes in Morningside Park
After last month's report of a coyote captured in Trinity Cemetery at the north borders of Harlem, we were made aware from today's Daily News via Curbed that three coyotes have been seen roaming the Columbia University campus. The article suggest that based on the campus' close proximity to the park, the conclusion of a pack of coyotes setting up camp in Morningside Heights would not be so far fetched. We decided to take a quick walk through Morningside Park to check things out and mostly found many canines of the domestic kind roaming the grounds with their owners. The winter scenery also included a frozen pond and the bear statue close by. The three new neighbors were M.I.A on our walk today but maybe the rabid raccoons scared them away. All photos by Ulysses.
