☞ DWELL: 52 Hamilton Place Brownstone
The brownstone at 52 Hamilton Place is fresh on the market for those looking around Hamilton Heights. The West Harlem townhouse is located between 139th and 140th Street and is only a block away from City College. The building (far right of photo) looks to be in okay condition, and the C of O states that it is under a two-family miscellaneous layout. Apparently two separate floors are currently rented, so maybe it is really being used as a 3-4 family at this point, seeing that the four-floor building probably has other units. Overall, the brownstone is 17 feet wide and will probably need some updating on the interior. The 1 train is only two short blocks away on 137th Street, but it might have one of the more problematic views in this part of Harlem. The hulking 3333 Broadway housing complex looms over the southwest distance of the intersection of Broadway and 137th, so it's not really the most picture perfect block. For $950K, it might be the right property for folks flexible on their home vistas. Overall, the block is quiet with not much else going on. Photo by Ulysses
