☞ DWELL: 70 West 119th Street Brownstone
The landmark SRO building at 70 West 119th Street has been on the market since end of April, recently went into contract last month, but is now back on the market at $769K. The townhouse listing states that the 17 x 50 foot property will be delivered vacant but SRO status might make that a bit more complicated (needs that Certificate of Non Harassment). So it's in the Mount Morris Park Historic District, just east of the shops on Lenox but still on an up-and-coming block since many of the buildings have not been renovated in some time. The property is described as a complete gut renovation with no interior photos available. Location wise, it's close to the 2,3 train at 116th Street and 125th. Thoughts? Photo by Ulysses

Had squatters up until this week and is adjacent to two vacant buildings.
ReplyDeleteIs now vacant and padlocked.
Is this the one that blew up by a gas leak?
ReplyDeleteNo, that was in an apartment building closer to 5th.
ReplyDeleteAnd consensus is that was no gas leak.
