☞ REVIVE: Inside the Brownstone Shell
When we covered the facade renovation of 177 West 126th Street this past summer we didn't realize the interior had any details left in it. An earlier New York Daily news photo gallery had the shell listed with interior shots of the original details left behind (that fireplace is really unique). There are other photos of shells on the market that did not fare so well with time which are even more dramatic but in a different way: LINK. We are assuming that the details on this rental building must have been salvadged since the exterior had a pretty extensive restoration. Check out the past post on 177 West 126th Street for before and after photos: LINK

Fascinating. Cheers for the link Ulysses.
ReplyDeleteLove big overmantle mirrors like this and the fireplace is striking. The owner showed much initiative with the stoop restoration, I hope for the same effort for the interior, this could be a real stunner when complete.
