☞ SEE: AFineLyne at HAWT 2010

AFineLyne (aka Lynn Leiberman) is one of the many local artists that will be showing at this year's Harlem Art Walk Tour (HAWT) which will happen this weekend. Her watercolor notecards and Map of Harlem can be found in many of the local shops and restaurants including the gift shop at The Studio Museum in Harlem and will soon be sold at The Aloft Hotel, which will open later in October.  Lynn can also be seen around Harlem with area artists literally painting the town (last photo).

Many of her original works as well as her signature notecards will be for sale at The Casa Frela Gallery, which is the starting point for this event. The Gallery is located at 47 West 119th Street, just East of Lenox Avenue. The Harlem Art Walk Tour is part of Open House New York taking place on October 9th and 10th. Discover new artwork including sculptures, ceramics, paintings, photographs, etchings, prints & textiles and meet the Artists from Harlem's vibrant art scene from 9am to 5pm both days.

This tour is sponsored by Casa Frela Gallery - pick up a Harlem ArtWalk map at participating shops and restaurants or download one from the Casa Frela Gallery site: www.casafrela.com.

  1. Nice, Lynn. Hope you sell a ton!

This looks like a wonderful tour and I would go in a New Yawk minute were it not that the majority of these buildings involve steps and I am not hauling that wheelchair up and down.

Fingers crossed for good weather and a great turnout.

  2. Sanou's Mum, here is a tour just for you - and all those that can't make the steps. The National Black Theatre is on the Tour with the largest collection of Sacred Yoruba Art in the Western Hemisphere - all wheelchair accessible; Native Restaurant will probably have their sliding doors open & from the sidewalk you will see my friend Seahawk's large format oils of Harlem; H&M Gallery on 125th Street just East of 5th Ave will have more then 15 local artists with about 10 pieces each; The RFA Gallery on 7th Ave is also participating and Caffe Latte just hung their art for this weekend. I'm sure there are more for you - but this group is sure to put a smile on your face & make you very proud to be a Harlemite.

  3. My only complaint with open house NY and all the interesting things to see this weekend, it’s hard to choose from so many wonderful choices.

  4. I really like her work, she tries to capture the natural beauty of the built environment of Harlem.
