☞ DWELL: 246 West 139th Street Townhouse
Another Striver's Row house just landed on the market this past week and it looks like one to watch out for at the introduced asking price of $1.995 million. We're kind of thinking that either a decorator lives in this place or the brokers got a pretty top notch stylist to stage the 17 foot wide, landmark home on the stretch of houses in Central Harlem that all have old carriage stables-turned-to-garages out in the back. The townhouse is technically a 2-family since there is one rental studio on the ground floor of the 4-story building and the landmark is part of series of identical houses on a historic block. Finishes look on the expensive side (those faucets don't come cheap) but interior details seem to be lacking (a little crown moulding speaks volumes and doesn't cost much to install). Location wise, the B,C trains are less than a 10 minute walk to get to at 135th Street and the area is quiet on the commercial front. Other restored houses on this block have sold in the $1.7-$1.8 million range this past year so it will be interesting to see if the momentum keeps going: LINK

That bathroom & bedroom are absolutely stunning! Someone spent alot of money and has alot of confidence that this will sell for its asking price.
