☞ REVIVE: Final Facade Finishes on Lenox
So those medallions on the newly restored facade of the Lenox Avenue townhouse (middle photo) in the Mount Morris Park Historic District were removed this past weekend (lower photo). Those windows on the upper floors are probably just up for the time being since the larger scale of the original probably has to be custom ordered. They also have plywood surrounding them so we imagine that the situation is temporary. Anyways, we are always positive about any restoration and hope this one finishes up sooner than later.

Guess they must have got wind of the medallion backlash.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see those medallions gone. Hope you are right about the windows.
ReplyDeleteYeah, hoping they are on order but jeeze, since early Summer? I coulda knit them windows by now.
ReplyDeleteI talked to one of the guys working there as I was walking by one day and he said that the windows have to be custom made to meet landmarks specifications, which are to be like the original curved windows. Wonder if landmarks had a say in the medallions too.
