We walked by the converted-school-to-apartment building of the old PS 157 at St. Nicholas and 127th Street and noted a sidewalk shed place up recently. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the construction area is only above the subway exit at that corner so maybe it's just MTA work being done. There was a flag out front over a year ago advertising 5,000 square feet of retail for lease and it has since been taken down:
